SiloxysSystem™ Gel

Our formula

What makes it different

Ours keeps medication local. Most topicals absorb fast, which can increase risk of side effects — rushing into your bloodstream instead of staying on your scalp.

17× more retained in the scalp, 92% less in bloodstream vs pills.

How it works

Releases medication gradually over hours instead of dumping it all at once. Our patented technology controls release speed.

Right for you if

You've heard the side-effect stories and want a smarter approach that targets your scalp, not your whole body.

Ours keeps medication local. Most topicals absorb fast, which can increase risk of side effects — rushing into your bloodstream instead of staying on your scalp.

Other liposomal gels

Why people choose this

Enhances delivery into deeper layers of the skin.

Good to know

Standard liposomal gels are good at pushing medication into the skin — sometimes a little too good. Lower concentrations are needed to avoid too much systemic exposure.

SiloxysSystem is engineered for the opposite: releases medication gradually and helps keep more of it in the scalp.

Consider this if

You want a gel formula but aren't concerned about how much gets into your bloodstream.

If systemic absorption worries you, choose SiloxysSystem Gel instead.

Enhances delivery into deeper layers of the skin.

Topical spray / solution

Why people choose this

Quick to apply and dries quickly. Intended for lower body exposure vs. FDA-approved oral medication.

Good to know

Amount of systemic absorption can vary widely between formulas. In some cases, blood levels can be similar to, or even higher than, oral formats.

No verified industry data available on bloodstream absorption rates.

Consider this if

If you need something quick-drying and aren't worried about absorption.

Quick to apply and dries quickly. Intended for lower body exposure vs. FDA-approved oral medication.

Oral medications

Why people choose this

Inexpensive. Simple to add to routine. Suitable for men with a pregnant partner.

Good to know

Oral finasteride is FDA-approved, but its potential for side effects leads some doctors to prescribe topicals instead.

SiloxysSystem Gel achieves 92% less body absorption than oral finasteride.*

Consider this if

If you value convenience-first and tolerate pills well.

Inexpensive. Simple to add to routine. Suitable for men with a pregnant partner.

How XYON is finally solving a 20-year challenge

1997
Oral Finasteride

A pill that works — at a cost.

Effective for hair loss, but it travels through your entire body to reach your follicles. More exposure means a higher potential for side effects.

2010
Other Topical Finasteride

Applied to the scalp — a step forward

These compounded formulas absorb through the skin and into the bloodstream rapidly. A new route. The same potential side effect problem.

Now
XYON SiloxysSystem™ Gel

Engineered to stay exactly where it's needed

A patented gel that holds medication at the scalp so more reaches your follicles. Releases slowly to limit absorption into the body, designed to limit side effects.

Frequently asked

What does the 2.5% finasteride concentration mean?

The SiloxysSystem gel matrix uses a higher topical concentration because the controlled-release delivery mechanism is designed for it. Despite the higher concentration in the gel, serum (blood) levels are approximately 12× lower than a standard 1mg oral finasteride tablet. The delivery system determines how much reaches the bloodstream — not the concentration in the bottle.

How is this different from liquid topical finasteride?

Liquid topical finasteride uses an alcohol or propylene glycol base that evaporates quickly, depositing the medication on the scalp surface. Much of it absorbs systemically or runs off. SiloxysSystem Gel uses a silicone-based matrix that forms a controlled-release lattice — holding medication at the follicle and releasing it gradually over hours.

Are these treatments FDA-approved?

No. XYON's SiloxysSystem formulations are compounded prescription medications. No FDA-approved topical finasteride currently exists. These formulations were developed to fill a clinical gap for patients and physicians who need an alternative to oral delivery. All prescriptions are based on individual clinical evaluation by a licensed physician.

Do I need a prescription?

Yes. All SiloxysSystem Gel treatments are prescription medications. You'll complete a brief online consultation, and a licensed physician will review your medical history and determine if this treatment is appropriate for you.

Can I use SiloxysSystem Gel with other hair loss treatments?

Many patients use SiloxysSystem Gel alongside other treatments such as oral minoxidil, PRP therapy, or low-level laser therapy. Your prescribing physician can advise on the right combination based on your individual needs.
