Dr. Steven Gabel

Dr. Steven Gabel is a hair restoration surgeon, founder, and medical director of Gabel Hair Restoration Center in Portland, Oregon. He is a Diplomate of the American Board of Hair Restoration Surgery and is double board-certified in Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery and Otolaryngology–Head and Neck Surgery.

With more than two decades of experience in hair transplantation, Dr. Gabel specializes in advanced microscopic follicular unit grafting, including both FUT and FUE procedures. He has been performing hair restoration surgery since 2001 and was an early adopter of the FUE method, beginning in 2004 when the technique was still emerging.

Dr. Gabel is recognized for his commitment to natural-looking results, surgical precision, and individualized patient care. He performs only one transplant per day, allowing him to focus closely on each patient’s goals, treatment plan, and outcome. His practice emphasizes quality over volume, with consultations conducted personally by Dr. Gabel rather than by sales staff or consultants.
